Card Games
Tongits Go is one of the most popular card games across Southeast Asia, and now it's live at 4999 with real-money tables, fast matchmaking, and smooth gameplay on any device. If you know the game, you'll feel right at home. If you're new, you'll pick it up fast.
About the Game
Tongits is a three-player rummy-style card game that originated in the Philippines and spread rapidly across Southeast Asia thanks to its fast pace and strategic depth. Unlike pure luck-based card games, Tongits rewards players who can read the table, manage their hand efficiently, and time their moves well.
The goal is simple: reduce the total point value of the cards in your hand to zero — or as close to zero as possible — before your opponents do. You draw, meld, and discard on each turn, building sets and runs while watching what your opponents pick up. When someone goes out or the draw pile runs dry, the player with the lowest hand value wins the pot.
At 4999, Tongits Go is available in multiple table formats — from casual low-stakes games to high-roller rooms where the pots get serious. The interface is clean, the matchmaking is fast, and the whole experience is built to run smoothly on mobile.
Game Rules
New to Tongits? Here's everything you need to know to sit down at a table and play with confidence.
Tongits Go is played with a standard 52-card deck between three players. The dealer distributes 12 cards to each player and keeps one card face-up to start the discard pile. The remaining cards form the draw pile in the centre.
On your turn, draw one card from the pile or pick up the top discard. Then discard one card face-up. Your goal is to form melds — sets of three or more cards of the same rank, or runs of three or more consecutive cards in the same suit.
You can place melds face-up on the table at any point during your turn. You can also lay off cards onto existing melds — yours or your opponents' — to reduce your hand value. This is where the strategy really opens up.
A player wins by going "Tongits" — emptying their hand completely — or by calling a "Fight" when they believe they have the lowest hand value. If the draw pile runs out, all players reveal their hands and the lowest total wins. Face cards count as 10 points; Aces count as 1.
| Card | Point Value | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| ♠ ♥ ♣ ♦ Ace | 1 pt | Lowest value card |
| 2 – 9 | Face value | 2 = 2 pts, 9 = 9 pts |
| 10 | 10 pts | Standard value |
| Jack (J) | 10 pts | Face card |
| Queen (Q) | 10 pts | Face card |
| King (K) | 10 pts | Highest point card |

Strategy & Tips
Tongits Go looks straightforward when you first sit down, but there's a real skill ceiling here. The players who consistently win at 4999 aren't just lucky — they've developed habits and instincts that give them an edge over the long run. Here are some things worth keeping in mind as you build your game.
The discard pile tells you a lot about what your opponents are holding and what they need. If someone keeps ignoring a particular rank, they probably can't use it. If they pick up a card you just discarded, you've given them something useful — try not to repeat that mistake. At 4999, the discard history is always visible, so use it.
New players often meld as soon as they form a set, thinking it reduces their hand value. But laying your melds face-up also tells your opponents exactly what you have and what you might need. Sometimes it's better to hold a meld in hand and wait for the right moment — especially if you're close to going Tongits.
Calling a Fight at 4999 is a bold move that ends the round immediately and forces everyone to reveal their hands. It pays off when you're confident your hand value is the lowest at the table. But if you misjudge it, you pay a penalty. The best time to call a Fight is when you've been watching the table carefully and you know at least one opponent is still holding high-value cards.
Kings, Queens, and Jacks are all worth 10 points each. If you're holding several face cards that don't fit into any meld, get rid of them early. Holding onto dead weight while your opponents are melding is one of the fastest ways to lose a round at 4999. Prioritise reducing your hand value over building the perfect meld.
If you're new to Tongits Go, 4999 offers free-play tables where you can get comfortable with the interface and the rhythm of the game before putting real money on the line.
